International Business and Economics Club
2009
IBEC is a group of students that research and work through topics of international business and economic issues with ties to social and economic responsibility. IBEC has researched topics such as socially responsible investing, exchange rates, and microfinance. IBEC has also worked with business groups like Aprovecho. IBEC continues to seek out new research topics and business partnerships that exemplify international social and economic responsibility in business and economics.
IBEC offers students a fun, interesting, and welcoming environment to take lessons learned in the classroom and apply them to real world situations. IBEC allows students the opportunity to practice a variety of academic and professional skills. Students can practice academic skills such as research, analysis, and presentations in one of the many very supportive research groups. A student can also practice professional skills like teamwork and leadership by leading one of the many projects IBEC is involved in or by becoming an executive member. Best of all students can make strong and challenging friendships with people who share many of the same interests. IBEC is open to all students who have interests in international business and economics with a strong emphasis on social and economic responsibility. We hope to see you soon!
