The
Lundquist College of Business, University of Oregon is seeking to fill one to
two tenure track faculty positions in Operations Management / MIS.
Description The
Decision Sciences Department spans academic programs in OM, MIS, and
Statistics.
Our Decision Sciences faculty is committed to
excellence in research and teaching, emphasizing the use of rigorous quantitative
and economic models for addressing significant operational, statistical, and
technology management problems. Members of the faculty also actively
engage in activities of a recently established research center in the area of
Sustainable Business Practices. The department is in the process of launching a
new Ph.D. program focusing on Operations Management. The Lundquist College of Business offers leading-edge
facilities and a superb working environment. The University of Oregon is a world-class teaching and
research institution and Oregon's flagship public university.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a
completed or nearly completed Ph.D. degree and exhibit the research potential
to publish in top journals, as well as demonstrate the ability to provide
high-quality teaching (undergraduate and graduate) in Operations Management
and/or Management Information Systems.
Candidates must have a strong background in modeling, optimization, and
or econometrics. Research interest in the interface of operations management,
information systems and statistics is also highly desirable. Successful
candidates will have the ability to work effectively with students, faculty,
and staff from diverse backgrounds.
