The Lundquist College of Business, University of
Oregon is seeking to hire a visiting instructor in Management Information
Systems to fill teaching needs in the area in the 2009-2010 academic year. Appointment can be up to one year with
possibility of renewal based on performance and budget.
Start date most likely
December 16, 2009. We are seeking
candidates able to provide high quality teaching and student supervision in the
area of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the undergraduate and,
possibly, graduate levels. Candidates for this position should be comfortable
teaching introductory Information Technology concepts and skills to general
business students in large classes, both lecture and on-line. The Lundquist College targets the
development of certain skills in our students and faculty, especially
cross-disciplinary business strategy. We seek candidates with a
commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, and staff from
diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications: Masters or PhD degree in Management Information Systems
or closely related discipline required, Previous university level teaching
experience strongly preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate business and technical knowledge in all or
most of the following subject areas: systems analysis and design, enterprise
systems, office applications, database design, website design, eBusiness, and
IT security. Knowledge of ASP.NET is preferred. Salary:
